Durellia. A game of Survival of the Fittest, where in this RPG you must fight for your character's very existance in a world where humans are a dying race, struggling against all odds against the rising power of the Vampires. Born of sin; born of the night. This is Lord Vain. The final product of Mesillcaan’s lust. Born after Sukinahito and Neko, Vain is the dark heart of the three siblings. Out of the three, he is the only pureblood Vampire. The product of a God in the making, Vain was in fact born a God. Progressively through his childhood, he drank the blood of the Vampire Teeka to survive. Little did anyone know, this would only give his power more intensity.
With Mesillcaan fighting the Battle at Wesnectify, the Village of Fitstral was left wide open when Teeka took her best warriors away from it. When the Demons attacked and killed everything in sight, the Demon Denara killed Vain’s mother herself. Revenge, of course for Mesillcaan’s unfaithfulness over the years; producing two illegitimate children.
Vain was a parentless child, growing up from a newborn with Teeka as a mother figure, and Vatar the only man in his life. Teeka would remain in his life for ten years before leaving the boy with Vatar, as he had done so many years ago. So, Vain and Vatar then began their lifelong friendship, with the rebirth of the Nemesis Clan on the horizon.
Together, they reformed the Nemesis Clan in Vain’s image. The older he became, the more powerful he seemed and therefore the more he was feared; however, revered by the rest of the Vampire Population. After many years of building a name for himself from a child, all Vampires worshiped Vain, the God of Death. Those that don’t, those that refuse? Receive death as a punishment.
Vain and his Nemesis Clan have stayed quiet for far too long. 650 years after the death of his father, the inevitable war for peace has broken out. The real question is, who can stop Vain and his Nemesis Clan?
With Vampires like Vatar, Vareth and Roland at his side and command, it seems unlikely that anyone will succeed anytime soon. And in the meantime, the human population dwindles to the endless urge of a Vampire to feed on the living.
The city of Mora protects Vain and the Dark Castle from anyone who dares take on an entire country of Vampires; anyone who makes it past Kazel, Oujou and Roland himself in the Golden City must not only be “brave”, but powerful. No mere man could make it past the Vampires that inhabit Slavista, let alone the Ex-Gladiator turned Vampire, Roland Arkoth. Just one of the many powerful presences in Vain’s arsenal.
Not to mention the infamous Vatar, the oldest living Vampire on the face of Durellia. His loyalty to Vain, unwaivering. With his immunity to Vampiric weaknesses and additional strength from his Demon arm, he’s practically unstoppable. With a calm demeanor and a human heart, he can blend into any crowd to achieve whatever goal he’s set on. And to make things more interesting, he can Synch with his weapon and call upon seven spirits to aid him in battle. Vatar is also the second in command whenever Vain has a leave of absence from Slavista's stronghold.
Vareth, the Animagi. With the ability to turn into any animal, beast or creature that comes to his mind, he’s a terrific asset to add to Nemesis. Not to mention that with Mary Jane at his side, these two are practically an unstoppable force against mere humans. Often sent out on scouting and recruiting missions, they never get ‘in over their heads’.
Though Vatar’s reasoning for bringing a human girl to Nemesis is still unclear, Foxy has officially become a member of Nemesis. The Red Robe turned Black will be a terrific asset on a battlefield, when every Vampire on their side is afflicted with “Haste”.
The recent rescue mission on a strange girl by the name of Nicolette have left unanswered questions as to her abilities and skills; who is this girl, and what can she do for Nemesis? Perhaps a fight is the only way to find out for sure what the ‘new girl’ is all about.
And then there’s Syn, the second oldest being on Durellia. A former Knight, a Master Swordsman. His teachings were passed to Vatar, who taught both Sukinahito and Vain, along with Vareth and Rayisale. He also has the insane ability to steal the abilities of anybody that he touches. As long as he remains loyal to the Nemesis Clan, it’s more than perfect. His loyalty to Vatar is unquestioned.. but it's his loyalty to Mesillcaan and his son that is a constant factor in this game of chess.
With an unrelenting quest for total dominance, the world of Durellia looks once again to the Gods in hope of salvation, and received nothing in return. So, without the help of the Gods..? Who, or what, can bring down the Nemesis Clan?
