Durellia. A game of Survival of the Fittest, where in this RPG you must fight for your character's very existance in a world where humans are a dying race, struggling against all odds against the rising power of the Vampires. This is simply a compiled list of the Gods and Goddesses of Durellia. Information about them can be found in the "Central Characters" Sub-Board.
Unarius - The God of Balance, creator and father of all Lords, Gods and Goddesses after him. Unarius, as legend goes, brought Vora into the world first, giving her the black moon hidden among the stars. So evil and cold was she, that Unarius could not find a man pure and righteous enough to defend the world against her. The world went through a time of great peril and darkness when Vora alone ruled it. Until the brave and loyal Knight Atrix was born. Unarius remains in the heavens, watching over the world and his children as they come and go.
Vora - The Queen of Darkness, Unarius' first born. With a black heart and a lust for power and destruction, the world was sent into a period of despair and darkness. She alone had the power to create the first Demon, "Grimm", as well as the power to speak to and control the Dragons that roamed Durellia during this time. It was with their help that she destroyed a great percentage of the population until finally, the Knights of Malastrana stood alone against her. Atrix was the lucky man to land the final blow, Vora has since been banished to the Abyss, never to walk amoung humans again.
Atrix - Atrix is the only God of human descent. Before becoming a God, Atrix was born in ancient Malastrana. Then, his people were peaceful and kind. Atrix and his loyal Order of the Knights protected their lands and vowed to help anyone in need. Anyone. Atrix and his Knights were called by the people and battled the Goddess Vora during the Dark Age, defeating her.
Hades - The Goddess of the Underworld, Hades is the child of Atrix and Vora. At only 15, her mother died in the war and Hades was left alone with Grimm, her one and only true life companion. She rules the tunnels of The Underworld, where all dead spirits collected by Grimm go into her, where the real Underworld exists, to make her more powerful. On the surface of Durellia, Hades cannot be seen by anyone other than the Gods. She cannot touch, she cannot feel, and she cannot attack - unless she shapeshifts. On Durellia, in Demon form, she is known as Denara. In Vampire form, she goes by Teeka. However, 'She of Many Faces' is unknown to most in Durellia because of her secretive nature. Not even Clerics exist for this Goddess - she does not need them.
Mesillcaan - Mesillcaan, the Vampire Lord. He was the first Vampire to grace the face of Durellia and in his own due time, would create a band of minions to follow in his cause. During his short 200 years of life, he accomplished much, including the birth of three children and a 100 year relationship with the Goddess of the Underworld herself. However, the battle at Wesnectify was also his doing.. and therefore partly his fault as to why Demons and Vampires absolutely despise each other. It was Mesillcaan's dream of a better world for Vampires that brings Durellia to where it is today - in total fear of this race. Now split in two and sealed away, the God of Vampires awaits his return to the surface of the world.
Torra - Torra, the goddess of Spirit and Strength. She was the leader of a small band of Elven Warriors and eventually the second lover of Mesillcaan, producing his only daughter. She was bestowed Godhood after the battle against the Vampires in which her race was practically wiped off the face of the planet.
Sukinahito - The God of Life. The first born child of Mesillcaan, who's mother was also Hades, making him a God at birth. Though he represents life and has a good reputation, violence is in his nature by blood. Sukinahito leads the side of good in this battle, though not officially. He has Clerics, but generally stays uninvolved in the ways of Humans and religion. However, his hatred for Vain and the destruction he brings upon the world has turned a new side of Sukinahito for the world to see. Now, the God of Life aids the Mantis Clan in their battle to keep their lives and regain their homeland. Somewhere in between, he forsees the death of the God of Death.
Vain - The God of Death, Lord Vain. He was the third and final child of Mesillcaan.. a near full breed Vampire. With his Godhood also bestowed at birth, he was only further empowered when drinking the blood of Hades as a child to survive. Vain leads the side of Evil with his family of Vampires known to the world only as Nemesis. Together they bring destruction and dispair upon the world, death and demise in their stead. Vain seeks one thing and one thing only - world domination in the name of his father.
Alladon - God of Elements. It was Alladon's involvement in the battle of Wesnectify that earned him a place among the stars, as well as extended life for a human. He now resides at the Iviastara with his band of Clerics and fellow White Mages.
